The resulting explosion in the sky was explained away by government officials as an airplane explosion, and while conspiracy theorists jumped upon the event, the public at large remained blissfully unaware of what ''really'' happened.

 * On February 2, 2007, a tornado rips a 70 mile trail through central Florida, killing 21 and injuring 76. A young man is found where the tornado dispersed, his clothing ripped but otherwise completely unharmed. He summarily disappeared afterward.
 * On September 12, 2007, earthquakes struck in the Indian Ocean, unleashing great amounts of devastation upon Sumatra. Near the site where the earthquakes originated, an abandoned boat was anchored, its crew missing.

 * A devastating earthquake striks in Great Sichuan, China on May 12, 2008. About 70,000 died, and over 18,000 are missing in the devastation. [[faction:company |The Company]] makes an appearance, though the world at large remains unaware.
 * From November 13 to November 15, 2008, a wildfire tears its way through California, taking firefighters days to control it and put it out. No cause of the fire is found.

 * On March 27, 2009, a dam bursts and a flood rips through Jakarta, Indonesia, killing many; many are confused by the bursting of the dam, which was structurally sound.
 * From May 5 to May 18 of 2009, a wildfire raged for nearly two weeks in the hills of Santa Barbara, California. No cause of the fire is found.
 * On September 23rd, eastern Australia encounters the worst dust storm it has seen in seventy years, smothering Sydney in red dirt.

 * On January 12, a disastrous earthquake hits Haiti, killing hundreds of thousands of people. A strange phenomenon is found, a circular spot near the suspected center of the earthquake is untouched. Two weeks later, Haiti is hit by an aftershock.
 * A massive earthquake strikes Chile on February 27, killing hundreds.
