| Summary: The Collector strikes again! This time his target is Rainbow Dash.    |
Robin is strolling down the street. He's actually looking slightly bummed out, frowning and looking downward as he shuffles along the sidewalk. The sound of rockets, however, gets his attention and he's soon looking upward... This is not a sound he's familiar with at all. "What the heck... Rainbow Dash?" He looks left, looks right, and then runs into a nearby alleyway. Rainbow_Dash doesn't seem to be taking the pursuit seriously, in fact, she's just having fun with it! When you can fly at speeds topping 3,800 MPH, you can be a little cocky! But the rocket drones seems to have a plan! They begin firing goop towards the street, sticking people in their tracks, and one drone hits a car window and it careens towards the helpless folks below! Dash HAS to come into range to save them! Off in that alleyway, light shimmers as if reflected off water... or perhaps shifting metal plates. Soon after, the Steel Valkyrie Strimla leaps up onto the roof of one of the buildings of the alleyway! She looks about not taking long at all to spot Rainbow Dash. Once her friend is sighted, she makes some motions and a set of steel feathered wings sprout from the back of her outfit! She runs to the edge of the roof and leaps off, drawing her massive sword and spreading her wings to take flight after the drones! Rainbow_Dash swoops down as fast as she dares, slamming her hooves into the side of the car, changing it's direction back from the stuck people; keeping them from getting hit, just barely! The drones register SV as she appears to give Dash back-up! Several of them break off from the main encounter, firing thier goo-guns at her! Which is a lot like being shot at by wands of sticky Bubble-gum! S. V. Strimla eeps and, while dodging, makes more hand motions. A disk of energy forms to her side, like a shield. She's certainly taking this threat seriously! But instead of running away as Dash is, she's going right for the drones instead! She lets out a yell as she closes the gap and swings down with her oversized blade at the first drone. The drone's aren't made for impact, but speed! So Strimia's strike takes down her first opponent with no problem! *Boom!* Nice explosion, but goo also launches in all directions when hit! Meanwhile, Rainbow Dash is having a rough time protecting the people...then see sees Strimia just go in for it! What was dash thinking?! She's Rainbow Dash! The blue pegasus rockets towards the drones and begins slamming into them as well! And don't worry about the people now. As some of the drones and the exploded one begins firing at the people again, some form of field composed of hexagons appears, taking the hits and blocking the shots. And off the the side one Roma, formerly of the Fleet of Fog looks at the scene and hmms, "Interesting." she says softly as she tilts her head. S. V. Strimla manages to get the shield in the way of the exploding goo, then looks around for others. "This is ridiculous... what ARE these things?" she shouts out in Rainbow Dash's general direction. She looks elsewhere for another target before flying after it to attack again, this time specifically using a horizontal slash to try to get the floating shield of force in the way at the end of the swing to block the explosion of goo. Being far slower than Rainbow Dash, she's unsure if she'll even has a target by the time she gets there, however. Rainbow_Dash says, "Beats the hay outta me," is her reply, "They just started coming after me!" As Roma intervenes, several drones target lock on her, sending blobs off good shooting at her like cannon balls, even has her hex-fields protect the populace! Another Drone falls to SV's attack! Rainbow Dash slams into another drone, but this one one-ups her and fires just before she strikes! She's caught in the goo and the drone begins to cart her off, followed by several others!" And sensing the attack Roma tilts her head and hmms as she forms a couple more fields to block those shots. And her eyes flash as she uses some nano materials to form spears that she sends at the drones aiming to well..stick it to them. "Stay down." S. V. Strimla moves her goo covered shield of force out of her field of vision and turns to look towards Rainbow Dash. "Rainbow!" she shouts out, then quickly as she can, flies after her. It's hard to say, though, if she didn't hear Roma, or if she just isn't listening, but she's still headed right for Rainbow Dash. Rainbow_Dash is struggling in the goop like a fly in a web! "Gah...darn it..." she just can't wiggle free! Several of the accompanying drones explode as Roma's spears strike true! The drones aren't so fast with dash struggling, so SV can catch up pretty quickly! If she isn't nailed by Roma's spears as well! S. V. Strimla yelps out as she nearly gets to Rainbow Dash, then has to dodge sudden spears! She looks back, spots Roma, then continues on to strike down at any drones left flying after Roma's attack. If any spears go near Dash or Strimla they'll fall into dust. "....Right, work on the aim Roma." and she hmms as she goes to use her field as a offensive weapon, trying to corral a couple of them and then crush them using it. Love that Klein Field. Between Roma and S.V., there's only two drones left! And the'ye trying to make off with the capture pegasus! Who's struggling and bucking but really is just plain stuck in the goo, caught between the two carrying drones! Roma looks at the two last drones and her eyes narrow, "If this works..catch her." she says to S. V. and goes to leap up, using that inhuman body again to get some air and if she can, try to grab onto a drone. If she's successful, she'll attempt a hack to take it over and have it attack the other one. She knows she can't form a Klein Field to catch Dash while she's trying to hack this thing...the Fog have strong processors, but she doesn't want to leave anything to chance. S. V. Strimla looks to Roma again and just silently nods, putting the sword away... somewhere behind her back. It really shouldn't be able to be hidden back there! But for now instead of attacking, she flies to instead keep herself below Rainbow Dash and the drones. Rainbow_Dash is dropped as Drone A suddenly fires it's glop at drone B and Dash suddenly is in free-fall, her wings pinned by goo! She laments, if she survives this, it'll take forever to the glop from her wings! Grrrs! S. V. Strimla shouts, "Gotchya!" as she dives at the gooped Pegasus! Barely managing to catch her, Strimla has to actually pull up a bit to even get her legs out underneath her to land. "No need to thank me, it's all in a day's... Uhhhh." She begins to struggle to actually put Rainbow Dash down... But now her arms are covered in the goop as well, and stuck to the pegasus. "....Well... this is awkward." And with a thunderous *CRASH!!* Roma lands on the street, all but shattering the asphalt. "...Uh..whoops." she says as she goes over to the two and she hmms as she looks at the goop, "This might tickle." and she holds her hand over to goop on the two and what looks like silver sand goes into the goop, "Gonna try to use my nanomaterials to destroy it." she says as she lets it go to work. Rainbow_Dash says, "Watch the feathers...my wings are high perforamncehahahahhahhahhahaha," yep, she's totally ticklish~" S. V. Strimla makes a weird face as she avoids laughing at the tickling feeling... then again, she's not only not as ticklish as Rainbow Dash, but she also has significantly less surface area than the pegasus does that needs to be cleaned. "Th-thanks," she manages to get out. Not that she has any clue what nanomaterials are... she's just assuming it's magic and letting it happen. Roma looks at you two, "Why're you laughing?" she asks as she tilts her head letting the nanos go to work on taking apart the goop. If it works..well, it'll most likely turn into liquid and slough off like water. Rainbow_Dash says, "Hahahhah...sorry...I'm s-super ticklisjh...hahhahahahaha" Roma blinks, "Oh..sorry." she says with a giggle of her own. "Another minute and I should be done. Who sent those things?" and she calls the one she took over over and hmms. "I'll study this on my ship later." S. V. Strimla puts the laughing Rainbow Dash down as the nanites free her from the pegasus and shrugs. "It felt... really wierd, sorry." She seems a little unsure of how she should be acting right now. "Um..." She looks around. "That's... all of them right? Yeah, what was going on with those things?" She looks alarmed by the one that flies over to Roma, however, and reaches behind her back, ready to pull her sword out again! Rainbow_Dash merfs and tries to not giggles as she replies.."Muhahaha...must be the c-collector is back..heheh..he..um...was trying to capture us as living collectbles hahahah...a while back...pffttt.... Roma hmms and calls back the Nanites and she looks at S.V. "Calm down, I took that one over. I might be able to figure out where it was made and we can use it to track down this..Collector." she says with a grimace. Yeah, someone that messes with her friends..the few she has. Oh, she's not happy at all. S. V. Strimla frowns at this. "Collector? So this guy is trying to kidnap you ponies for... what, a display? What in the nine hells?!" She actually growls slightly as she balls her right hand into a fist. She then takes a deep breath to calm herself down. "All right, so... ugh. Any ideas on how to deal with that creep on a more permanent basis?" She looks between Roma and Rainbow Dash. "Oh, uh... I'm Steel Valkyrie Stimla... you can, uh, just call me Strimla." Rainbow_Dash shakes herself free from the goo, "Thanks, you guys totally saved me," she looks to Roma, "Uh, well, apparently it's some kind of super-nerd who wants to add us to his collection, yeah...os something like that. We thought we took him out before, but...I guess he's back. Roma hmms and looks at Steel, "I am Roma, former Flagship of the 2nd Mediterranean Patrol Fleet of the Fleet of the Fog." she says in a formal tone as she nods to the magical girl. Darn, she's not getting good scans from S.V. Must be this magic thing, "I have 15 inch cannons we can stuff him into." and she nods to Dash, "Right, I'll see what I can do about getting info from the drone. We might be able to track him." Oh for him to be near the ocean. The circuits on the captured drone is flash-fried; apparently by design. Roma hmms as she sighs as the drone drops to the ground, "Well..nevermind that." S. V. Strimla looks at the drone as it drops to the ground. "....I take it that was bad?" Roma hmms, "Once I sent the command to the nanos I used to hack it to begin a trace, it fried itself." she sighs, "Tricky little jerk." S. V. Strimla nods slowly, clearly having no clue what Roma is talking about. Rainbow_Dash says, "Uh, she made one machine take out the other machine...." Roma nods, "Think if it like..using a spell to take over something else." she says with a shrug. "I can assume you're from a magical universe, yes?" S. V. Strimla looks a bit sheepish, then nods. "Uhhh, yeah, I am. More magic, less... electricity things. So like... a dominate spell that only works on electric things, then?" Rainbow_Dash flapflapflapflapsflaps her wings. "Okay, still working! phew!" Roma nods a bit, "Something like that." she sats to S.V. And she grins at Rainbow, "I was careful of your wings. I know you like the fly." she shrugs a bit, "I'd be lost if I lost my shipbody. I love being on the ocean." S. V. Strimla smiles at Rainbow Dash, then frowns slightly as she looks at Roma. "I thought you were the ship." Roma hmms, "I am..but I can be separated from it. As long as my core exists, I exist. So if my core is not on the ship if it's destroyed, I can be like this," she says as she gestures at herself. "..The Hyuga, Takao, Haruna, Kirishima all lost their shipforms, but still existed as Mental Models." S. V. Strimla tilts her head as she tries to wrap her head around that. "I... okay. So the core is like... the real you, then?" Roma nods, "Yes. This body and the ship are just..expressions of that." she says with a shrug. "It's..confusing I know..but it's how it is with us. Rainbow_Dash says, "I'dd be totally...yeah...without my wings...no..." she shudders, but she also thinks about Scootaloo back home, then adds; "I'd never give up, though."" S. V. Strimla takes a brief moment, then throws in, "Oh, uh, yeah, I'd be totally lost without my Magic Knight form, too. It's how I do all my.... heroing." Rainbow_Dash says, "Anyway..thanks for the help!" she looks around, checking to see if anybody on the street needs help..." "Eeeeh, yeah, no problem then, Rainbow Dash." Strimla looks around the area before realizing that Roma has gone. "Huh... uhhh, well then. I guess then this is all over with, in that case..." She pauses another moment before letting her steel feathered wings disappear. "All's well that... ends well?" Rainbow_Dash says, "Yeah, I guess so...thanks again. Gonna have to keep an eye out, this guy's stepping up his game." S. V. Strimla raises an eyebrow slightly. "Well, I'm hoping he doesn't get an eye for Magical Girl collecting, then. Do you even know what this guy looks like?" Rainbow_Dash says, "He just sends henchepon....men...I haven't seen him; I think Fluttershy has, though." S. V. Strimla frowns at this. She's never been good at this detective style stuff... She's always been more the muscle! Maybe the face or diplomat, but she never did particularly like being the mouthpeice of a group. "Dang... well, I wish I knew how to help you guys out, then." Rainbow_Dash says, "We'll manage, thanks, though! Nobody's gonna mess with my friends!" she makes a growl like a chihuahua. S. V. Strimla smirks slightly and nods. "Right! And I'd be glad to be among that number!" She raises her hands up to be clasped behind her head, then, after an awkward moment, looks around and says, "Well, um... I think I should be, uh, back to what I was doing before, now, then...." | |
