Sometime ago... A game going by the name of Nightmare shocked the game playing comunity with one of the first revolutionary "Video/Board-Game" designs. The game was simple enough... A twisted parody of games like 'Snakes and Ladders' and the infamous 'Sorry'.
The game consited of players racing around a cemetary-style board collecting keys which would "unlock" the center of the board and allow players to draw a piece of paper. The paper was supposed to have the player's "greatest fears" written on them. If one was to draw their own fear, they lost. But if it was not... Well you know how that goes...
The Challenge of the game, however, was not the game itself. But, the challenge came from a character know as "The Gatekeeper".
The Gatekeeper was a video recording included with the game. The tape was both a timer and the Host. At random times he would appear on the screen and give the players challenges that must be overcome before the game could continue.
The Game was an amazing feat of creativity. But, unfortunitly, due to the overwhelming price attached to it, the game was not the success it should have been...
Four more games where created before the game vanished into the realm of forgotten lore.
However, The Gatekeeper wasn't finished yet... ATMOSFEAR
