Not long after the final Nightmare (Nightmare IV) was released, The game Atmosfear hit the store shelves. This time the game had a new, darker look, and an updated Gatekeeper.

|
"Featuring a revolutionary six-piece, double-sided hexagonal game board that offers more than 5,760 combinations of playing track, ATMOSFEARä uses a 60-minute VHS video tape as a timer and a means to deliver multiple choice instructions from its host The Gatekeeper. When the tape is over, the game is over." |
Now, the Harbingers had faces. (New, unless you had seen the Nightmare add on tapes.) The group had gathered again to face the Gatekeeper as they do every Harvester's Moon. Only now, the players had an added challenge. Now they must fight for not only their lives, but for the first ten minutes they must fight for their identies.
Each of the Harbingers is given a Province. These where the tombstones of the eairlier Nightmare (I think). In each province is a "headstone", which is shown in the illustraions to be the castle, or lair, of each Harbinger. For the first ten minutes, players must race to these headstones to claim the Harbinger they play the game with.
Failure to become a Harbinger results in the players becoming a new form of creature. A Skull Ranger.

These are creatures that roam the planes of the Other Side looking for an easy kill. Skull Rangers can not collect keys from the provinces, they can only steal them. This leads to some intresting situations. Especially since the Gatekeeper can "ground" the Skull Rangers and force them to stay in the sewers (the unclaimed provinces) until the Gatekeeper releases their curfew.
With all the new additions, this saddly became another game that faded into the relm of the forgotten.
